Flood Recovery
In the Tweed Valley many lower socio-economic living quarters were flooded, particularly permanent residents of caravan parks.
The club is continuing to assist some residents rebuild their homes, increasingly through project managing repairs.
The club assisted nearly 200 hundred flood affected residents to apply for a $500 gift card from a charity.
In addition, the club made several financial donations to the Chinderah Donation Hub (now Chinderah Community Centre) to support their work with flood affected people.
Support charities and various community support organisations
Annually the club provides food services for the Kids in Need’s annual Dragon Boat racing event and donates the majority of the proceeds to the charity.
The club has donated money to the Family centre for Christmas hampers.
